The Enkutatash Ethio festival was held this year at Barcroft park, just off Columbia Pike. Many local Ethiopian businesses, artists, artisans, performers, and civic groups highlighted this festive family-oriented day on the Ethiopian calendar.
From Wikipedia: Enkutatash (Ge'ez: እንቁጣጣሽ) is a public holiday in coincidence of New Year in Ethiopia and Eritrea. It occurs on Meskerem 1 on the Ethiopian calendar, which is 11 September according to the Gregorian calendar. More information on the holiday is here.
