Centro Cultural Peru | Bangladeshi Street Festival
A number of traditional Peruvian dancers from the Centro Cultural Peru performed recently at the Prio Bangla street fair, a Bangladeshi festival in the 2900 block of S. 9th St. of Arlington VA, just off Columbia Pike.

Yang Gre - Chinese dancers | Bangladeshi street fair
A Chinese dance troupe, Yang Gre, performed a traditional handkerchief dance at the Prio Bangla street fair, a Bangladeshi festival in the 2900 block of S. 9th Street, in Arlington VA, just off Columbia Pike.

Join us on Monday, September 10, 2012 at 5:00PM for the opening reception of From Pupusas to Microbrews, an exhibit of photographs from the Columbia Pike Documentary Project.
The multidisciplinary Columbia Pike Documentary Project (CPDP) started as an initiative to give this vibrant community, currently counting over 132 ethnicities, a “face” and “voice” through photography.
Program: 5:00PM - Welcome by Prof. Kamenitzer and introduction of the artists behind the project: Paula Endo, Lloyd Wolf, Mimi Xang Ho, Duy Tran, Aleksandra Lagkueva and others.
Enjoy a wine & pizza reception, followed by a panel discussion at 6:00PM
“From Pupusas to Microbrews: Gentrification and Columbia Pike.”
Panelists: Takis Karantonis, executive director of the Columbia Pike Revitalization Organization (CPRO); Chris Zimmerman, Arlington County Board Member; Nina Janopaul, President of the Arlington County Partnership for Affordable Housing (APAH); Christian Dorsey, community activist, political commentator & Pike resident.
