CPDP banners

We have received the four large display banners we created of our pictures. Beautifully designed by Xang Mimi Ho, they highlight some our team's most meaningful - and fun- work documenting Columbia Pike. 

Each banner is 33" wide x 81" tall.

These banners will be displayed at the Pike Farmers Market and other public community gatherings when the weather and pandemic restrictions allow, along with our books.

Living Diversity on Smithsonian Magazine's instagram feed

Molly Roberts, photo editor of Smithsonian Magazine, gave the Columbia Pike Documentary Project the opportunity to feature our work on the magazine's instagram feed for an entire week.

We greatly appreciate this opportunity to share our vision with an international audience.

The work of all of the photographers who appear in our book Living Diversity - Aleksandra Lagkueva, Xang Mimi Ho, Paula Endo, Lloyd Wolf, and Duy Tran - was highlighted during the week.

The book we are creating about our community, Living Diversity: The Columbia Pike Documentary Project, is now at the printer.

CPDP presentation to the Arlington Historical Society

Arlington County TV presents the Columbia Pike Documentary Project's presentation to the Arlington Historical Society at the Arlington Central Library.

Living Diversity- book in progress

Here are two preliminary mockup covers for the book in progress,  Living Diversity: The Columbia Pike Documentary Project, to be published next year. It will  feature the work of photographers Xang Mimi Ho, Paula Endo, Alexandra Lagkueva, Duy Tran, and Lloyd Wolf.

There will also be essays contributed by a variety of writers which will explore and illuminate perspectives on life and the history of the Pike.

Dancing Under the Stars | Randolph School

"Dancing Under the Stars" was a school-wide community dance and celebration for students and their families at Randolph Elementary School, situated along the Columbia Pike corridor in Arlington.

Rita Wiggins | Douglas Park

Rita Wiggins has lived with her husband, Kent, in the Douglas Park neighborhood for over 25 years. She currently serves as the Community Services Outreach Coordinator for Randolph Elementary School. Her daughter went to Randolph, and just graduated high school this year.

Ms. Wiggins was photographed at "Dancing Under the Stars," an event at Randolph School, just off Columbia Pike in Arlington, and was recently interviewed by Annie Hallman and Sahar Haghighat, folklore researchers from George Mason University, as part of the collaborative effort with the Columbia Pike Documentary Project.
