Historic Johnson Hill, formally known as the Arlington View neighborhood, was formed in part from former residents of Freedman's Village, and is located at the eastern end of Columbia Pike. There are many historic homes and the Mout Olive Baptist Church located there, and the Hoffman-Boston School, currently an active elementary program, was the African-American high school during segregation. The community, which has long been very close-knit, is experiencing both physical and demographic changes.
