Opening of the Black Heritage Museum of Arlington

The official opening of the Black Heritage Museum of Arlington was held recently in their new space at 2611 Columbia Pike, Arlington VA 22204.

Director Scott Taylor and numerous local citizens and elected officials were in attendance at the event which included a ribbon-cutting, along with Arlington NAACP president JD Spain, Arlington County Board members Takis Karantonis, Libby Garvey, Matt DeFerranti, Christian Dorsey, Katie Cristol, delegates and senators to the Virginia Assembly Alfonso Lopez, Barbara Favola, Patrick Hope, and others; civil rights heroine Freedom Rider Joan Trompauer Mulholland, Kim Klingler, CPRO executive director Kim Klingler and the entire CPRO staff, Craig Syphax, and many others.
