Halloween Health Fair /Columbia Gardens
A Halloween health fair was held at Columbia Gardens, an APAH-run apartment complex on South Frederick Street, just a block off Columbia Pike in Arlington.
Along with holiday costumes and candy, free flu shots, HIV testing, vision screening, diabetes, nutrition, and other health information was made available in an accessible community event. Private and Arlington County healthcare professionals, educators, nursing and pharmacy students from Howard, VCU, GWU, and GMU were on hand to consult and administer the vaccinations and tests.
Thanks to Liz McElwee, APAH's on-site resident coordinator for her help.
