Pike Blues Festival 2021

The Columbia Pike Revitalization Organization (CPRO) sponsored the community's first post-pandemic open music event, the annual Columbia Pike Blues Festival. The main performers at the outdoor stage were Robbin Kapsalis and Bill Holter of Vintage#18, Malian griot/desert blues master Cheick Hamala, and DC's blues queen, Carly Harvey.

It felt great to have this all up and running again. Thanks and cheers to the CPRO staff for making this happen.

Election Watch Party

After Tuesday's Democratic Party primary vote, an election watch party was held at William Jeffreys Tavern on Columbia Pike. Two Pike-based candidates, Virginia House of Delegates representative Alfonso Lopez and Arlington County Board member Takis Karantonis were there along with Democratic party activists. Both Mr. Lopez and Mr. Karantonis won their respective elections by wide margins and will vie for office against other parties' candidates in November 2021.
