Columbia Pike Artists Studios

The Columbia Pike Artists Studios is a cooperative of twenty-six visual artists located at
932 S. Walter Reed Dr, Arlington VA 22204, just off the Pike. This year they will celebrate their thirtieth anniversary.

From their website: "the organization has provided working spaces for painters, sculptors, printmakers, collage artists, illustrators, and photographers. CPAS has benefited from its relationships with neighboring businesses since its inception, and members continually strive to engage with the local community.  The studios and the CPAS gallery are open to the public during special events and by appointment."

These photographs were made on an open studio tour. Pictured are painters Morgan Johnson Norwood,  Vladimir Zabavskiy,  Sharon Malley, and photographer Deb Crerie.

Prio Bangla Festival 2019

Prio Bangla's multicultural street festival was held for the eight year in a row adjacent to Columbia Pike. This colorful event celebrates the Bangladeshi-American community in our area, and also highlights cultural performances by other local groups.

Thank you to organizer Pryalal Karmakar for his outstanding work, and for his long-time partnership with the Columbia Pike Documentary Project.
