Black Lives Matter | community protest march along Columbia Pike

A large and peaceful demonstration was held in Arlington, Virginia, to protest the recent murders by police of George Floyd and many other black citizens.

The march was organized by Anika and Yolanda Kwinana. The marchers traveled from the Columbia Pike Library up Glebe Road, and eventually to Ballston and the Courthouse area, where many headed to the larger protest in DC. These photographs are from the march as it headed along Columbia Pike .

Arlington County Police and other government officials cooperated and aided the march and the marchers.

Leadership matters.

Black lives matter.
