Headlining the Columbia Pike Blues Festival this year was Tennessee-based, Serbian-born blues guitar slinger, Ana Popovic. Other performers included Memphis Gold, Steve Williams and the Spectacles, Duffy Kane, and Billy Thompson.
Gorgeous weather, happy crowd, soulful music.
Thanks to Takis Karantonis and the whole CPRO staff for their help, and for staging this community event.

Patrick Henry School | Ms. Constantine's third grade class
Ms. Dahlia Hamza Constantine teaches third grade at Patrick Henry Elementary School, one block off Columbia Pike in Arlington, Virginia. Her twenty-one students speak eight different languages at home, and Ms. Constantine speaks Arabic as well as English.
The students undertake an extensive project on the Columbia Pike community every year, exploring businesses, history, transportation, foods, diversity, parks, and other issues and aspects of the neighborhood they are growing up in.
Thanks to Ms. Constantine and her lively students for the opportunity to document their learning.
