Thank you to the congregation of St. Mary's Ethiopian Orthodox Church for inviting the Columbia Pike Documentary Project to attend and photograph the sacred services in their new spiritual home not far from Columbia Pike. Tsagaan Sar 2026 - Year of the Fire Horse

Much of the greater Washington area's significant Mongolian-American population lives along Arlington's  diverse Columbia Pike corridor. A full community-wide Tsagaan Sar festival,  the Mongolian New Year lunar celebration, was attended by the Pike's residents. It featured traditional Mongolian wrestling, cuisine, businesses, costumes, games, arts, crafts, musical and dance performances, and representatives from the Mongolian Embassy.

Thanks to GanNa Gankhuyag, Tuya Grace, the staff of the Mongolian School, and the many others in the community for their generous hospitality.
