Career Center | English Learners class

CPDP chief photographer Lloyd Wolf recently presented and did a followup consultation at an English Learners class at the Arlington Career Center. The students are in the process of doing photo-illustrated essays about subjects that are important to their lives.

Thanks to the creative efforts of teachers Amy Langrehr,  Dr. Carolyn Marcille, Dr. Deborah Sanchez, Career Center principal Margaret Chung, and to their hardworking students.

Bethel Cafe | Lunch Club on the Pike

The Columbia Pike Partnership sponsors a monthly Lunch Club on the Pike. The most recent gathering was at Bethel Cafe, an Ethiopian restaurant featuring fresh home-style traditional cuisine, and a warm welcoming atmosphere.

Thanks to chef/proprietor Ferehiwot Geberemariam and her staff for a tasty and upbeat occasion. Thanks also to CPP staffers Josue Bastides and Sarah Manrique, featured speaker Arlington County Board chair Takis Karantonis, ECDC staff members including Kidist Ebenezer, and Alex Sakes, chair of the Pike Presidents Group.

Pike Fest 2025

Pike Fest! was celebrated at Penrose Square, 2597 Columbia Pike recently. Sponsored by the Columbia Pike Partnership, it featured numerous local businesses, food vendors, civic and Arlington County government organizations, children's activities, and performing artists. Thanks To CPP director Andrew Schneider, and CPP staffers Sarah Manrique and Josue Bastides and the many CPP volunteers for their good work in staging this community festival.
