The dancers showed great resolve in continuing to perform their full routines despite having to do so in a heavy sudden rain storm. A group of traditionally-garbed school-age Bolivian girls was particularly outstanding in persevering with grace and spirit through the adverse weather conditions.
Numerous Arlington County agencies: Public Health, the Libraries, Police, Sheriff, and Fire departments, Transportation, Public Schools, and others were there to provide community outreach and support. Numerous elected officials also stopped by.
Thanks to community activist Janeth Valenzuela for her good work in bringing the neighborhood together to celebrate.
