Celebration at Barcroft Apartments

There was a gathering recently at the arches area of the Barcroft Apartments in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. Poetry, dance, and song, along with hands-on art-making projects led by CPDP team member Sushmita Mazumdar of Studio Pause were presented to the diverse residents.

Tyrol Hill Park - 2nd Annual Arlington Mill Community Festival

The 2nd annual Arlington Mill Community festival was held at Tyrol Hill Park (5101 7th Rd S., Arlington VA 22204). It was under the auspices of the Arlington Mill Civic Association, and co-sponsored by the Arlington County Police Department and ASHPA, the Arlington Schools Hispanic Parents Association, led by community activist Janeth Valenzuela. 

Games, music, information booths, dancing, and a performance by the Tinkus USA Bolivian dance troupe were featured. Numerous elected officials and County staff leaders spoke.
