Shrine to the ancestors

A shrine consisting of offerings of fruits, flowers, and sugarcane in the parkland adjacent to Columbia Pike.

Our documentary team has regularly encountered such shrines in the woods here; they are often associated with Santeria and related religious traditions.

A winter's day on the Pike (a deep and dark December)

Seen on a long walk in mid Columbia Pike. Winter is here. Christmas is coming.

New businesses, new buildings, signs of the times, people on the street, clear revealing light.

Note- there seems to be a rash of graffiti spreading on the Pike; much undesired by the folks who live here.
