Patrick Henry Elementary School - community mapping workshop

CPDP chief photographer Lloyd Wolf recently ran a workshop for teacher Nathan Erwin's third grade at Patrick Henry School. The class is engaged in a community engagement project, focusing on food insecurity, immigrant and refugee rights and empowerment, and homelessness in our area.

Mr. Wolf mostly worked with the food insecurity team, preparing them to do interviews and photographs at the two farmer's markets now open on Columbia Pike.  They will use school-supplied iPads to do the interview videos, stills, and web presentations. The students are all well-versed in these skills.

The finished work will be presented to the Arlington County School Board.

Great work, and thanks to Mr. Erwin and the bright, energetic kids in his class.

Located at 909 S. Dinwiddie Street at Columbia Pike, it will be open Saturdays 9:00 am to 1:00 pm from May to October. It features numerous vendors, and promises to be a positive addition to the west Pike community.

Thanks to Cecilia Cassidy and the crew at the Columbia Pike Revitalization Organization (CPRO) for their work in supporting this effort.
