Portraits / ribbon cutting

Portraits and views from a ribbon-cutting event celebrating a newly-installed street improvement facility at the northeast corner of Columbia Pike and S. Glebe Road, Arlington VA, adjacent to the Westmont Shopping Center.

This area is now being referred to by planners as the "Pike Town Center" area.

County Board members Chris Zimmerman, Jay Fissett, and Walter Tejada, plus CPRO managing director Pamela Holcomb, were in attendance and officiating.

Chris Zimmerman, and Walter Tejada are pictured with the oversized ribbon-cutting shears. Among the others depicted are
artisan Stephanie Thomas, Vivian Bullock, an 86-year old lifelong Arlington resident, plus Ronald Claure, a local businessman, with his new puppy.

Columbia Pike cleanup crew

Arlingtonians for a Clean Environment (ACE) held a cleanup of Columbia Pike between the bridge over Four Mile Run and S. George Mason Drive.
